The PSYCHO CALYPSO party series is all about colliding styles while paying special homage to Caribbean, Latin, and Creole music like Soca, Bouyon, Shatta, as well as Reggaeton, Dembow, Dancehall, Baile Funk and Funky House. Established in Berlin, we fuse our diverse cultural influences by seamlessly blending electronic music and Global Club Sounds into the mix – creating a unifying musical cyclone.
This September, we brought the Carnival Club energy back to Berlin.
With a local all-star lineup and a special guest from the Netherlands — YENTYZY, a rising female DJ who brought the raw Rotterdam club sound to Studio 1111.
With every wall covered in visuals, this unique location became a space where the PSYCHO CALYPSO aesthetic came alive

In collaboration with DJ Tsunamy and Xotic Global, we brought our Party series to London for the very first time during Notting Hill Carnival.
It was a true gathering between London, Berlin, and Paris — with local selectors and the legendary Bouyon duo Boutchabwa headlining the night and delivering an unforgettable London debut.
The event hit full capacity and the energy was at its peak — the perfect Carnival warm-up to kick off the weekend.

For this edition, PSYCHO CALYPSO invites Meeting OFF, a French producer from Guadeloupe specializing in Shatta and Bouyon music, alongside T.NO, a talented beatmaker and DJ from Amsterdam known for his genre-defying approach to Afro-diasporic and club music – both making their Berlin debut!
Additionally, Slic Unit member Yung Womb from Hamburg will deliver a high-energy set inspired by her recent trip to Carnival in Colombia. Siblings and Psycho Calypso founders Paul Souljoyce and Coco Calypso will, as always, captivate the crowd with sets that pay homage to their Martinican roots and their upbringing in London. The Carnival fever will shine through the night, especially as Coco Calypso has just returned from Carnival in Martinique.
Beyond the music, this event also marks a special milestone for PSYCHO CALYPSO: the launch of their first merchandise drop, The Calypso Comb, a 3D-printed Afro pick with a unique design made to empower Black hair and merge art with utility.
