The founders of PSYCHO CALYPSO are Coco Calypso (Claire Thérésin) and Paul Souljoyce (Paul Thérésin) siblings born in Berlin. Flourishing as DJs and producers, they have disseminated their distinctive sound throughout Berlin and Europe’s club scene. Growing up in the cosmopolitan cities of Paris, London and Berlin, diversified their musical influences, despite their Caribbean roots from Martinique significantly shaping their sound and artistic identity.

COCO CALYPSO has been honoring her craft since the age of 17, earning recognition for her underground sound and genre-bending DJ sets. With an unmistakable tropical, sexy energy, her performances are packed with hard-hitting bangers and anthems that keep the crowd dancing and always bring an element of surprise.
Rooted in Martinique and growing up between Berlin, Paris and London, Coco draws on her multicultural background to create sets that celebrate the Afro-diaspora.
Her signature sound is a bold mix of Bouyon—a genre deeply tied to Martinique’s carnival culture—with destructed Club, cutting-edge electronic & tech beats. This unique blend also defines the sound of her collective and party series, Psycho Calypso, where she continues to innovate and push Afro-diasporic music forward.
Paul Souljoyce
DJ / Producer / Creative Direction
PAUL SOULJOYCE has been immersed in music his entire life, performing on stage with his father since early childhood. With over a decade of experience in Djing, Paul played a key role in organizing numerous events as a member of the renowned DJ collective BASSGANG. From 2011 to 2017, he contributed to the success of a groundbreaking party series that introduced genre-blending club music and underground sounds to Berlin’s nightlife.
Today, through his new collective Psycho Calypso, Paul teams up with his younger sister Claire, also known as Coco Calypso, to celebrate their Afro-Caribbean roots and channel his creative visions.
Now, he is flourishing as a talented producer, widely appreciated for his deep musical taste and stylistic versatility, spanning Grime, Hip-Hop, Soul, R&B, Global Club Music, Caribbean styles, and everything in between.
